New F70A

“Lightest weight and advanced technology”

Yamaha proudly introduces the new four-stroke 70 horsepower F70A, based on the

current FT60C, featuring the lightest weight in its class and advanced technology.

The new F70A is smallest in size and lightest in weight among the competitive fourstroke

outboards in its class, and almost the same weight as corresponding two-stroke

outboards.

With its exclusive 16-valve SOHC system and Yamaha's unique ECM controlled multipoint

fuel injection system, the newly developed engine delivers highly efficient

combustion. This means the F70A provides maximum performance, excellent fuel efficiency

and quick starting while maintaining proven reliability. Moreover, a higher engine

operating range of 5300 to 6300rpm and a high 2.33:1 gear ratio produce quick turning

of the lower pitch propeller with a large diameter for excellent drivability and optimum

maneuverability.

With regard to exhaust emissions, the North American models exceed US Federal EPA

2010 emission requirements and meet US CARB 2008 emission standards. The European

Union model also meets EU 2006 emission regulations.

The optional advanced digital network system for remote control models can be used to

enhance reliability and convenience, and simplifies rigging by removing the need for

remote control cables.

With the advantage of lightweight, excellent performance and convenience, the F70A

can be used widely to power open boats and inflatable boats for fishing, family boating

and transportation.

They are available in two shaft lengths: 20- and 25-inch.
